Geoff originally built Gloucester Lodge in the 1990s, along with two similar houses on the same quiet road in Frenchay, Bristol, as a completely new build. Constructed in a mock-Tudor style, Gloucester Lodge features red brick, tall white-washed gables and black larch boards to accentuate the Tudor aesthetic. The property itself extends to around 4,000 square feet of floor space, and the main lounge showcases an ornate plaster ceiling by Moran and Wheatley of Bath.
The house boasts an impressive green-oak orangery with leather-look tiled walls, a large skylight and bifold doors opening onto a secret courtyard.
In addition, throughout the house there are nine bathrooms, all of wet-room construction. The sanitary ware is Duravit with wall-hung toilet pans, and the rooms are tiled to perfection in porcelain and stone.
All rooms are hardwired with Cat-6 cabling and equipped with the latest DALI lighting controls, providing mood lighting throughout.
The main-house flooring consists of large polished concrete-effect tiles that lend an incredibly modern look.
Gloucester Lodge was designed by Geoff and his team; Geoff personally crafted the handmade bespoke kitchen and oversaw the tiling, fixtures and fittings. Ultimately, this unique, timeless property blends old and new effortlessly, with modern contemporary features matching seamlessly.
